Shortcuts

Shortcuts are accessible by clicking the Search Database button in the Data Builder and then clicking the Shortcut Configuration tab.

In the My Shortcuts tab, users can create, delete, rename, show/hide, or set public/private their various database shortcuts. To create a new shortcut, click the New button. To delete a highlighted short cut, click Delete. To rename a shortcut, double click on its name.

Show

This field toggles whether or not a given shortcut set is displayed as a tab in the database pane.

Set Public

This field toggles whether or not a a given shortcut set is shared amongst users on your network under their Public Shortcuts tab. You can only adjust this parameter for shortcut sets that you have created.

Click Configure to launch the Shortcut Edit window for a highlighted shortcut.

In this menu, you can click and drop specific feeds from the MIM Database into your shortcut. By clicking Add, you can create a folder. You will be prompted to give a folder name and description. If you wish to change a folder name or description, highlight the folder and click . You can delete any given feed or folder with the Delete button and you can sort feeds or folders using the Up and Down buttons or by dragging and dropping. Use the Up Folder button to quickly move up a folder level.

If you wish to add a new folder but the Add button is not clickable, simply right-click and select Add New Folder.

In the Public Shortcuts tab, you can view all the shortcuts available to you on your network. You can see who is providing the shortcut and you can toggle whether or not the shortcut is shown as its own tab.

You will not see your own shortcuts listed in Public Shortcuts from your console even if you have set them public.
